其实青春片的故事情节比较简单，拍摄手法没什么特别，拍摄成本也远没有动作片那么高。但是因为青春片中的场景很容易让观众产生共鸣，回忆起自己的青春时代和初恋情人，所以中国的80后（也就是1980年以后出生的人），甚至90后，都很喜欢和恋人或者朋友一起去影院看青春片。

1980年9月，中国政府发表了一封公开信，主要内容是“提倡一对夫妇只生育一个孩子”。后来，提议变成了强制。这就是中国的计划生育政策。80后相对于他们的父母来说，从小生活条件比较好，能够接受更好的教育，接触到更多的新鲜事物，所以有更值得怀念的青春。而现在，80后们都已经走入社会，承受着工作和生活的种种压力。下了班坐在电影院里怀念自己的青春校园生活，对他们来说无疑是一种很好的减压方式。至于电影本身是不是优秀，已经不是那么重要了。

Qīngchūn piàn, jiùshì yǐ qīngchūn wèi tícái de diànyǐng huò diànshìjù, dàduō shì guānyú qīngchūn shíqí xiàoyuán lǐ de àiqíng gùshì, yǐjí xuéshēngmen líkāi xiàoyuán hòu de shēnghuó.

Zuìjìn jǐ nián, qīngchūn tícái de diànyǐng zài zhōngguó yuè lái yuè shòu huānyíng. Qíshí qīngchūn piàn de gùshì qíngjié bǐjiào jiǎndān, pāishè shǒufǎ méishénme tèbié, pāishè chéngběn yě yuǎn méiyǒu dòngzuò piàn nàme gāo. Dànshì yīnwèi qīngchūn piàn zhōng de chǎngjǐng hěn róngyì ràng guānzhòng chǎnshēng gòngmíng, huíyì qǐ zìjǐ de qīngchūn shídài hé chūliàn qíngrén, suǒyǐ zhōngguó de 80 hòu (yě jiùshì 1980 nián yǐhòu chūshēng de rén), shènzhì 90 hòu, dōu hěn xǐhuān hé liànrén huòzhě péngyǒu yīqǐ qù yǐngyuàn kān qīngchūn piàn.

‘Qīngchūn films’ are films or TV shows that employ ‘youth/youthfulness/teen’ as a theme. Most are are stories about young love on campus, as well as student life off-campus.

In recent years, ‘teen-themed’ films have become more and more popular in China. Among these, the most well known include: ‘Old Boys’ in 2010, ‘You Are The Apple Of My Eye’ in 2011, ‘So Young’ and ‘Tiny Times’ in 2013, ‘My Old Classmate’, ‘Fleet of Time’, and ‘Beijing Love Story’ from 2014, and also this year’s ‘My Sunshine’ and ‘The Left Ear’ (2015). Thanks to the effect of superstars, and early-stage publicity that ‘blankets the sky and covers the earth’, these films always receive attention from the entire community before even being released.

In reality, the plots of ‘qingchun films’ are relatively simple, the cinematography is nothing special, and the production costs are by far from the costs of making an action movie. But because the scenarios of qingchun films easily create a sympathetic response in the viewers, causing them to recall their first love of their youth, so the post ‘80’s (i.e. those born since the 1980’s), even the post 90’s, both like to with their sweethearts or friends to the cinema to watch qingchun films.

In September of 1980, the Chinese government issued an open letter the main content of which was to advocate every couple to only have one child. Later the suggestion became compulsion. This is the Chinese family planning policy.

For the post 80 generation, in comparison with their parents, from a young age their living conditions were relatively good, they could receive better education, they could have more contact with fresher/newer things so for them there is more value in reminiscing about their youth. And now, the post 80 generation has already become part of society and has to bear all sorts of pressure from work and life. To knock off work and then reminisce about the campus life of their youth is without doubt a way for them to reduce this pressure. As for the quality of the films this is no longer of importance.
