在不少西方国家，巧克力都是非常常见的一种零食。在美国，无论是大超市还是小商店，巧克力产品种类繁多，令人眼花缭乱。男女老少都爱吃。万圣节的糖果更是少不了巧克力的身影。在中国的情况却有些不一样：首先，巧克力的流行和西方情人节文化有十分紧密的联系；其次，消费者大多是年轻人。
好像很少有女孩子不爱吃巧克力。在我的记忆中，六年前，中国最流行的巧克力大约是德芙。德芙外包装上的英文Dove，看起来很像Love，人们很容易把这个品牌和爱情联系在一起。除此之外，费列罗也很流行。现在中国大城市的超市中常常设有进口食品专柜，进口巧克力的种类也越来越多。再加上互联网的发展，人们可以直接在国外的网站购买商品，然后用快递送到家里。如果喜欢巧克力的话，完全可以足不出户，吃遍天下的巧克力。
我第一次喝热巧克力是2010年在菲律宾时，在此之前完全不知道还有热巧克力这种东西。六年过去了，在中国大小城市的咖啡厅里，热巧克力也十分常见了。

English: Do You Like Chocolate
During last year’s summer holidays a Polish student of mine was travelling in Sichuan (more specifically, the city famous for Pandas and hotpot). One day he updated one of his blogs, and the very first sentence at the beginning was: ‘Can you imagine it? I’ve already gone a month without eating chocolate!’
In many western countries, chocolate is a very commonly found type of snack. In the United States regardless of whether you’re in a supermarket or a corner store, there is a dazzling variety of chocolate available. Men and women, young and old, they all love to eat it. Chocolate is also an indispensible part of the Halloween candy mix. But the situation in China is a little different: Firstly, chocolate’s popularity and Western Valentine’s Day culture are closely linked; secondly, the consumers of chocolate are mostly young.
I don’t think there are many girls who don’t love chocolate. In my memory, six years ago China’s most popular chocolate was probably ‘德芙 – défú – Dove’ (brand). On Défú’s packaging is the English word ‘Dove’, which looks a lot like ‘love’, meaning people quickly associate this brand with romantic relationships. In addition, ’费列罗 – fèilièluó – Ferrero’ (brand) was very popular. Nowadays, supermarket’s in large Chinese cities normally have an imported goods section, and the selection of imported chocolates available is also becoming larger and larger. And besides, with the development of the internet, people can directly order chocolate from foreign websites, then use express delivery to have it brought straight to their door. If you love chocolate, it is perfectly possible to eat the chocolates of the world without ever setting a foot outside.
The first time I drank hot chocolate was in 2010 when I was in the Philippines. Before this I had no idea there was such a thing as hot chocolate. Six years have passed, and in cities large and small, hot chocolate is a very common sight in cafe’s.
